That Metal Show returns on Saturday, August 20th to VH1 Classic. I previewed this season’s guests exclusively on metalinsider.net. Read the article HERE.
Make sure to check out the gigs page to see all upcoming gigs, including the GWAR-B-Q!!!
The sickest party ever just got even sicker as Slave Pit Inc. and Metal Blade Records announced new details of the upcoming GWAR-B-Q. Joining the festivities will be none other than Metal Blade recording artist and VH1 “That Metal Show” co-host, comedian Don Jamieson, who will be performing a stand-up set on the main stage of the event. Jamieson will also be joining the star-speckled judges of this year’s “American A-Hole” competition, which will also include Oderus Urungus’ alter ego Dave Brockie and will be hosted by none other than GWAR‘s manager, underworld mogul Sleazy P. Martini.
Said Jamieson, “As a fan of GWAR since “Scumdogs of the Universe”, I am honored to perform on the same stage they will undoubtedly ejaculate on.” Don Jamieson’s new album, Live and Hilarious is out on Metal Blade Records.
GWAR is also happier than “an Orc in an orphanage” to welcome notorious malcontent and “Jackass/Viva La Bam” star Chris Rabb, a.k.a. “Rabb Himself” to the festivities. Rabb, who has recently been showcasing his talents behind the camera with his new project “Hot Dog Casserole”, will be calling the action at the GWAR-B-Q‘s version of extreme sports, “the Spew-Olympics”.
Not to be outdone, homeboy and Lamb of God lead singer Randy Blythe will be judging the GWAR-B-Q Cook-off, and local bike gang The Cutthroats will be presenting a special bike-jousting event. Add sun, fun, and a TON of awesome bands (including of course the mighty GWAR!), and you have what might be the coolest thing to happen to Richmond since the Civil War!
But just because the GWAR-B-Q is over doesn’t mean the fun has to end. After the GWAR set, head over to McCormacks Irish Pub for the official GWAR-B-Q AFTER PARTY, featuring Hex Machine, The Landmines, U.S. Brass, and more!
Get your TICKETS NOW! at www.gwar.net and make sure you check out the different purchase levels of entry.
Get your Tickets in advance for ONLY $20 or $25 at the door on the day of the event.

Praise for “Live & Hilarious” from Punchline Magazine:
“Jamieson has a broad range of topicality, and indeed does appeal to a cross generational span of fans…And a close listen to this album gives evidence to a Kinisonian torch-bearing body of work. In other words, the album never wants for ribald imagery, delivered in a single punchy, jam-packed session.”
Bret Michaels made his first of many guest announcements to come in the following months. Over the weekend, Bret confirmed that comedian Don Jamieson will be joining the roster of performers aboard the Bret Michaels Super Cruise, sailing from Miami to Cozumel, Mexico on November 10, 2011.
Don currently co-hosts VH1 Classic’s hit heavy metal talk show “That Metal Show” which was dubbed by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the 50 Best Reasons to Watch TV. He has won an Emmy for his comedic efforts on HBO’s “Inside the NFL” and his recent comedy album “Live and Hilarious” debuted in the top 10 on the Billboard Comedy Chart.
